(meditation in the Gobi)
Get acquainted with the unique meditation techniques of the Mongolian Lams (monks); visit scientifically proven sites in the Gobi desert that are known to enhance one's inner powers. Not only will you visit these sites and meditate with the Mongolian lams, you will also have an opportunity to try sand therapy. Throughout this rare journey you'll travel by camels and jeeps and be hosted by authentic camel breeders.
First, you'll visit the main monastery in the city, Gandan, where you will attend the morning ceremony. Afterwards, you’ll get an exclusive meeting with well known Lams who will introduce the ancient and modern history of Mongolian Buddhism. Later, you’ll visit the Palace museum of Bogdo Javzandamba, the last king to rule Mongolia, where ancient art pieces of Mongolian Buddhism can be seen. Next, travel by jeep for 6 hours to one of the last few remaining monasteries that survived the rise of Socialism, known as Amarbayasgalant. The Lams here live within the temple grounds, you’ll get a chance to get acquainted to their lifestyle. Aside from all of the above, you’ll explore the capital city, and watch award-winning artists perform at a Mongolian traditional folk concert.
